Catalytic converters! I was on Times Square in '60's when people were dropping dead on the spot! Gets rid of sulfur & some nitrates, but NOT CO2! Chem Trails over cities: Cheney says "spray 'em" - SECRETELY! Enough of this "feel-good" crap! Every effort we make to get rid of oil is BLOCKED! Driving the Earth to ruin for PROFIT of a few! It's in the STANDARDS - "Standard Oils" residue of control: width of highways, stop lights, "safety features", gas car UBERALLUS!
CO2 levels and Coal use on a massive scale did not begin to increese until near the end of WWII, and 1/2 the warming was over by then. For the next 30 years of higher CO2 levels and little or no regulation (Post war economic boom) temperatures went flat to down. It wasn't until late 1970s they began to rise again. IF CO2 is driving temperature, explain how without a rise in CO2 1/2 the rise in the 20th century happened, and why it didn't rise for 30 years after CO2 began to rise.
It is called the 'heat island effect' and is well documented.
The next step in warming alarmism will be the call for systematic elimination of 80% of the worlds human population to a 'sustainable' pre industrial level. That is where this is all going.
The three days that planes didn't fly after 911 our planet rose a full degree, immediately. What I'm saying is that if we clean up our pollution problem without addressing the CO2 emissions problem, we will create more of a problem than what we are trying to fix. They both need to be brought down very carefully. Dimming is the only reason we haven't seen the huge rise in temp. Just because you can't visibly see the pollution as haze doesn't mean it's gone
I think that is exagerated. There are many populated cities that are pretty clean and some cities today are cleaning up. Beijing managed to do it in a short time before the 2008 olympics (probably the worse/forceful example) and NY city managed to clean up a large % of their polution/smog issues; one way was changing the public transporation system to hybrid or electric vehicles. I'm sure LA will be able to follow suit but I also think the size of the cities can make it a difficult change.
He should realize that what is offsetting global warming is the dimming that is caused by the air born pollutants. Does anyone think that the haze over hong kong and LA doesn't keep the suns radiant heat from reaching the surface? It's like thisworldwide just concentrated in heavily populated areas
This is like listening to Ann Coulter! What the hell is going on in the US South?
Warming in first half of 20th century "couldn't be man-made" - EVER HEAR OF COAL???
One moron after another - WHO put that "Dr." in front of his name? Yeah, Doctor of Vatican Business administration, of 1840 time-warp maybe? Fox is S""T! The announcer is a 80 IQ moron, pretending to "equal time"?
Shills for big oil as it fails, every last one of them! Liars: tell us your affiliations! Not more WMD-crap lies!
