Kitefrog - the bones are not fused, they can be disarticulated, have a look at pictures of the skull and the sacrum of an adult. The sacrum will be fully ossified with no/little evidence it was ever 5 seperate vertebra. Then look at the skull. Still clearly seperate bones. And the science - it is comming, just slowly. There is less money invested in it than drugs. Which Cochrane reports regularly show that many are no better than placebo.
u remind me some beliefs from Breig and Butler about mobilisation of the nervous system which if course includes the dura matter and the nerve roots itself....dont disagree that maybe is a "hypomobility" of nervous structures...I do disagree though that this hypomobility is the true CAUSE of symptoms...it could be of course the RESULT of other pathological conditions
So "pathological" pull of the dura produces problems anywhere through its system.... The CST System moves in small amplitude (micrometer in the skull, and in the spinal dura about 1-2cm), but about 12'000 times a day... so small movements, but big amount...
the skull bones are very intimately connected with the dura (the nerve hull) which needs to be mobile. immobility of the nervous system and its hull can be palpated through the bones and all connected structures:
ok lets suppose it can be moved and released by techniques....could u tell me if this "hypomobility" of the skull joints is a cause of any clinical pathology????Does the symptoms or the clinical signs caused by that???? because when u claim that u got a new innovative technique, u must have evidence to prove its clinical value....And there are not so many evidence about CST,are they???
dear quorthon, I am a PT, a craniosacral therapist and an osteopath... so trust me my dear: IT moves, and it can be released when its stuck... the Dura, the sutures and all connected structures.
The anatomy and physiology of each patient teaches me this...
what they try to show in this video is a "fake" explanation for craniosacral therapy......Let say that an craniosacral therapist, an osteopath or whtever MOVE the bones of skull...Ok so what??? What the clinical result of this???? U will make the cerebrospinal fluid MOVE????(AS in the CST believe!)
Stay away from this fraud!!!!! I am a physio and i believe that PERSONAL STUDYING is better than learning a "magical technique"....Its waste of money and time
Not true. I've talked to an MD (not a cranial sacral therapist) that in medschool measured the skull movement on rats. I told him about my experiences with cranial sacral and he said it made sense. I got a really bad concussion and whiplash, after the first treatment I was way better.

- all cranium
- C1-C2
- Sacrum (S2)

believe it or not.
