I know this is off-topic, so I apologize in advance, but: Damn, you're a good-looking woman! I understand fully what you're saying, and it's true about the world in general. However, if you lived in my city, it wouldn't mean faze me at all to ask you out. My point? I have a theory that beautiful is beautiful. I don't buy this idea that "There's White beauty and Black beauty." Again off-topic: Would you date or marry someone not of your ethnicity? Wouldja give him a chance?

Their inner conflict comes from this clash between the realities of daily life in a Western nation and their frustrated (as a minority) collective and cultural ambitions. How many African-American cultural nationalist activists realize (or will ever even admit) that if they really meant what they say they would walk the walk somehow themselves return to a traditional African lifestyle. I'm sure nobody in the African-American community will be doing that anytime soon.

Here's the nub of the issue and where it gets complicated. African-Americans (and most of the rest of the world) are living within the context of European cultural and technological dominance - ascendant for the past 2500 years. Compared to traditional African societies African-Americans (including ethnocentric Black nationalists) are so Europeanized in outlook, economy and lifestyle they don't even see it anymore.

Thank you for posting this video. Most of the world tries to sweep this issue under the rug, like many other issues...there is almost always a deep psychological reason for our preferences, many a time they are heavily influenced by what society says is 'better', & sadly, for a long time many of us don't even think about it, until we take the time to 'think' about it.
