Wow! This power plant hums really loud. Not sure the voltage level, but sounds like it could be 500 Kilovolt and a whole lot of amps.. Not sure though. Feel free to comment.

  • 69kv??? step down transformer to 13.2kv?? Switches look big but the low side 3 phase recloser is no bigger than 13.2kv

  • @Kitchen363 Cool, That's pretty loud for a 69kv with a 13.2kv recloser.

  • A lot of these substations are loud like this. There's nothing to "wow" over. LOL

  • @tall32guy -Yeah, lol. I love the sound it makes. I get excited over it. LOL.

  • Wow loud!

  • Yep! I was like at least 15 feet from the gate when I was recording.

  • Ha!, maybe some of that RF energy from HAARP is getting into that substation!

  • WAUW.. i want to poke it!!

  • I prefer 50hz sound personally. It was probably a 138Kv to 36 Kv tran, or something similar. There are plenty over here that are just as loud.

  • @mpowellmpowellmpowel

and it sounds way better than the european 50hz utility!
