  • Thank you! I'm teaching a group piano lesson today about Beethoven, and I wanted to play several excerpts of Beethoven's greatest works for my students. This is perfect!

  • @Jester21Jester Glad to hear it. Thanks

  • Beethoven has been my favorite composer from the day I gained an appreciation for music, which was at the same time I learned to talk. He is my role-model in music, and he will always be #1 in my book. The absolute worst thing you could do to a musician is to take away his hearing. Beethoven lost his hearing, but his love for music endeavored and triumphed over that loss proving music is more than just harmonic noise.

  • @dawsonbonde I have just finished creating a new version of the Snow White story using Beethoven's music

  • My opinion is that Mozart is incomparably the greatest musical genius in history. As to who you folks prefer to listen ouf of Mozart and Beethoven is up to you.

Personally, as a pianist i prefer to play Beethoven. The Moonlight sonata is fantastic. That said, you can just hear brilliantly communicated emotion and musical perfection in any of Mozart's works.

  • I wouldn't argue with that

  • Who cares who is over all a better composer... If you look at music as a competition then you destroy the nature of it. That being expressing the composers feelings. To say one composers feelings are better than another is foolish. Mozart's music reflects his silly and young attitude and I love that about his music and yet Beethoven's music is deeply emotion and serious and I love that just as much.
