Meditation is the art of attaining a deeper state of consciousness,
further than the ordinary "thinking" world. It is a part of nearly all
world religions but is also practiced outside religious traditions.
Different disciplines of meditation encourage different spiritual goals
and techniques with which to achieve them
According to Swami Nirliptananda, a Guyanese-born monk, meditation leads
us from the world of suffering into a world of joy. It settles the mind
and allows us to find peace within ourselves. Meditation may be used to
promote healing, to achieve a higher state of consciousness, to reduce
stress, to increase focus, for greater self-awareness or for religious
and/or ritual observances.
Meditation brings peace of mind, happiness and sense of self-awareness.
The practice of meditation may reduce health risks for heart disease and
....This is because meditation can reduce stress and anxiety. All the
benefits of meditation are to improve concentration, creativity, inner
peace, improved social relationships.
How to meditate
# 1 Find a comfortable seat. Should sit cross-legged or sit on your heels.
Do not forget to use the base. You can sit in a chair if you are unwell or
not used to sitting on the floor. What is important, your spine upright.
# 2 Close your eyes. Breathe in deeply and slowly through your nose and
your stomach to inflate. Exhale through your nose and your belly to
deflate again. Feel processes in and out of your breath
Perform this exercise for 30-10 minutes every morning and every afternoon,
means two times every day.
