  • why is it that evitas nowadays sound like nine year olds with high belts. i think a voice a little lower set than this girls (like patti) is more suited for this woman

  • @laluponeista88 Yes but one in about 1,000,000 can sing the role full voiced like Patti Can. Patti's head tones go up unsually high and thats what makes he voice unique. Unfortunately most Eva's sound like this because NO ONE can do the role like Patti and its sad that they had to sound like her to be considered "Good". Cameron does a fucking phenominal job with this

  • @5934931 yes, me too.

  • she really does sound 11. plenty of people have a less nasal/bright voice. Emily Skinner for example. Or Julia Murney. This chick is like Evita took a shot of helium before singing the song. It's really grating.

  • Do you have any more of this show?

  • And now she's my drama teacher, man Cameron WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL US!!!!

  • @Selendomono actually Eva Peron was known for having a really high pitched voice...people always commented on it because they thought it was strange for a woman with so much power to sound so girlish...just for the record.

  • fierce. end of story.

  • @btothefloflo Well I think the decision to speed it up was a good one because it is much more interesting and also meshes better with the feel of the song

  • @1037pm this is more like the original production with Elaine Page on the West End.... basically Bway sped everything up so Patti could sing it

  • She's like Natalie Toro's Eva in that they're both extremely talented singers, nail those notes effortlessly, stay on pitch, but their vocal qualities are wrong for that role. Aside from coming off far too youthful at that stage (bet she was perfect as 15 y.o. Eva) her naturally high-pitched, thin voice ends up being more grating than pleasant after awhile. Hardly her fault, and she nails the acting as well, but Eva should be more imposing.

  • she does sound kinda young...i thought this was just a really really good high school production, then i looked at the description
