books donated to Romanian county libraries (edit)

In the Fall of 2006 an idea was hatched to send a shipping container full of books to a Peace Corps worker in Romania, augmenting the normal programs of "A Thousand Books."

While the Peace Corps worker and his Romanian colleagues set up the details in Romania, the American organization set about gathering 70,000 Engish-language books to send.

A year later the books were delivered. Here is the result, as reported on Diplomatic TV and RadioDada in Focsani.

The American organization, A Thousand Books, has been sending books to schools and libraries in all corners of Romania since 2004.
