Much respect! Reminds me of the hard work that goes into making Congas,
Bongos,& Bata Drums.I have a good friend who used to work for Valje (Pre-LP)
and watched him make a set of bongo drums for me.Also heard from another
drum maker that wood drums are much better than laminated shell drums too.

I love your videos.
If you don't mind me asking, why exactly was a rotatating sander (1:04) used on the outside of the drum instead of using one like was used on the inside.
It stuck out to me because of the mention of fine detail work, and maybe the grain is funny or not straight on that part, but I really don't get why one would be used there at all.
Just seems to look like a flaw in an otherwise delicious video. So beautiful! I want to touch one!xD
These drums are gorgeous. Question: what process is used to 'round out' the inside of the shell?
