MEET EMMETT AGAPAY
Emmett Agapay began dancing in 2001 at Vista High Schools airband competition. After graduating in 2002, he was left with nowhere to dance so with the help of Eddie Macaranas, they both decided to start a garage crew called Choreo Cookies. In 2003, Emmett became a member of FORMALity and served as the companys Artistic Director for the 2005-2006 season. After 4 years on FORMALity, he decided to move on from the company but couldnt decide where he wanted to go. A friend jokingly brought up the idea of resurrecting his old crew from 2002. The idea stuck with him and in January 2007, Emmett brought Choreo Cookies into the competitive dance scene. Since then. Choreo Cookies has been fortunate enough to compete in the major competitions such as Prelude, Vibe, Fusion, Ultimate Brawl, World of Dance, and Body Rock.
Aside from being the director of Choreo Cookies, Emmett is also directing a junior team called Breakthough and has been there director since 2004. Also, he is currently the Artistic Director of Studio 429 in Encinitas, CA.
