  • overcorrecting! he could have caught that easily :/

  • You always get comments like that when ppl see this happen - Looking at the vid he was prob doing between 80-100mph at that point when something on the track caught him out. Those of you who've driven Fiestas, Saxo VTR's et al at 60 round a council estate, lost it and got it back would have NO chance in that car at that speed, on racing slicks (or scrubbed down for racing) esp on wet grass!

My thought was just "OH F*** this is gonna hurt!!"

  • Ah, wet kerb. Not good.

  • Unlucky on that one. Ignore what anyone says about "Over Correction" its anyones guess in that situation, they think they're so cleaver looking at it from behind a screen and know "exactly what to do". And Maestro is one of the worst handling cars ever? I wonder if this bloke has ever owned one!?! and acctually knows what they are like. I had one. The most reliable car I ever owned. And was better in the corners than any other front and rear wheel drive car I have driven. Such an underrated car.

  • he lost it because the maestro is one of the worst handling cars ever. No change of correcting it.

  • Massive over correction! But easy for me to say sitting here in a chair typing on a computer ... hope the car got sorted or you have another.

  • Had a maestro a few years back, did the same on the road, lifted off a bit mid corner, back end slid (which it did all the time) but this time it caught so quick it sent me the other way up a curb just missing a lampost. Bent two alloys and damaged the front strut.

  • got a bit excited with getting past the mgf lol

  • @Silverflame775

I maybe would have also crashed but a good driver wouldnt have, he over corrected after panicking, notice how he also gripped the wheel and risked busting his thumbs(u leave go or tuck thumbs out of wheel)- inexperience plain and simple, a few driving lessons at rally school, needed.

  • Extreme bad luck there! That's the sort of thing that could catch anyone out, so I think all the armchair racers need to be a little more sympathetic!

Also, I counted one revolution of the wheel either way, I think the rack's quick enough!

Hoping you're ok, that's the main thing! :-) Hoping the car got fixed too!
