@skyhawk431 I have to say that the picture is both Chinese and Japanese. They are some traces of Chinese in the stereotype Japanese landscape. The Chinese painter incorporated a few Chinese details in it. :D

this music originated the people from south China , frontiersman overcome danger ocean finally pass through Taiwan Strait , Immigranted to Taiwan to earn their lives (that difficult age only healthy and strong man can survive at that difficult land) so the young and strong man must leave their family at home , go there by themselves,once they go,to earn money for their family they almost never go back home to see their family again all over lifetime,this music is for how they miss their family.

I've never heard such beautiful traditional music before......this is such a relaxing music....so soothing.....i hope my dream of going to China will be fulfilled oneday....my granpa is a chinese from China but so sad we never have the chance to meet him cos he passed away when my dad was only 4 years old so he did'nt manage to get to know his ancestors from China....my granma is a Malaysian but not Chinese....listening to this music makes me wonder ...whether or not we have relatives in China

@hongzhou1 actually, if you look closely, the girl in the first picture is wearing hakama and geta, which are traditionally japanese; the japanese traditional clothing may be derived from chinese hanfu, but it is quite easy to differentiate the two. And in this case, the shoes - geta - are the best proof that that is not chinese hanfu. Of course, if you feel you know better than me ... I won't stand in your way, just thought to share an opinion.

I'm from Turkey and I like this kind of traditional music. I don't like westernized music around the world. I hope that local traditions won't disappear due to globalization.
