"So inspired by the three hunters who decided that they did not want to fail on instructor that we were all so impressed by earlier, I too began searching for a way to kill instructor without relying on priests (we had some pretty terrible priests). The only problem is that our hunters were also... well lets just say not up to the task.

I created a new plan. It all started when I spent 3 minutes on the same trash mob because I hate my dispellers. And so, at last, I present to you:

A mage tanking this wasn't ment to be a viable method and the encounter was never desighned around having a mage spell steal bone armor

May I remind you people did classic onyxia with a PRIEST tank? In fact it was a priest ONLY raid. 100% priests. Thats right, WoW has always been crazy like this.

data steven, get 2 tanks, 2 healers, 2 DK DPS, and the rest ranged DPS, have 1 tank and 1 healer on the 2 adds, and have the tank, and the 2 DKs stand in a triangle taunting in a counterclockwise/clockwise cycle

well it would of been better if i stated that it is much harder because they do not have the same range advantages that shadow priests do when it comes to mcing and you need "roughly" 6% hit to have an easy successful non resistant mc run of it so being shadow makes it easier for sure but of course a holy priests could stack a load of hit gear and do it .. its just not as easily done hence the not really good at it comment. holy has minimal range on mc compared to shadow

Personally i find your comment to be really out of place: "holy priests are no good at mcs they dont have the hit or experience the shadow priests do". Excuse me? Since when holy priests cannot equip some +hit gear and go away MC and tank the boss for you? And as far as i know, you couldnt have done that at level 60, as the instance was originally designed first.

What are you talking about the mage tanking allowed a single mage to do the hole quarter. With an arcane talent that allows the damage taken to = damage output this mage tank now become a mage tank with a nuke. Both ability have been reduced or taken away this is no longer possible.

With the trick they were using a mage could take any hit and then deal damage that was crazy like 100k hits.
