A march and rally was held on April 16, 2011 starting at Denver Civic Center Park and winding up on the State Capital Steps. This rally held to call for the labeling of GMO (genetically modified foods and food products) in stores, and to further call for a moratorium on the release of further genetically modified foods, to encourage consumers to vote with their pocket books by refusing to buy GMO foods and food products, by insisting on more organic or non-GMO foods and by calling for a reanalysis of current GMO foods, to demand proper long-term testing of GMO products (currently neither the EPA, FDA or USDA, require mandatory testing of GMO foods) with third party peer review of all company studies. Ideally it may also lead to a BAN on the patenting of life and aggressive and threatening actions by multinational corporations, corporate industry groups and even some government officials against farmer in the US, and other countries who resist the growing of Genetically modified foods.
While the corporations say they are creating GMO (genetically modified organisms) to feed the world, to date their products fail to provide increased yields, better quality nutirition, or better tasting and more affordable foods (except for those products like GMO corn that are "subsidized by taxpayers" to keep the prices artificially low.
Third party scientific review of prior studies and new studies show significant concern about the use of GMO plants, and the resultant increased pesticide and chemical fertilizer use they trigger. Further studies are beginning to show significant world-wide health concerns triggered by GMOs for farmers, families, animals and most recently people.
Monsanto and other biotech companies are playing a dangerous game, by manipulating the DNA of plants and animals with unknown results and rushing these products into the world food chain.
To many individuals GMO also stands for "God Move Over" a reference to the biotech industries insistence that they know better then either God or Nature, even though they themselves do not know the outcomes of their efforts.
Stop further GMO foods, require GMO labeling on all current food products, revoke the production of current approved GMOs and require long term comprehensive testing for safety and environmental impact to the earths indigenous plant and animal species. BAN the patenting of Life altogether.
Monsanto is a bad company i agree but not because of GMO"s but because of the way they think they own the world and can push around the small farmers that are the back bone of america.

Learn the real basics about GMO's before you start protesting against things that will not hurt you in any way. Your protests just show how much your education is lacking!

Lets start naming names, not MONSANTO, but Joe Blow (or whomever) naming, and shaming names!

Protest all you want. It's way past that time.
Wouldn't it be funny if Monsanto headquarters caught fire and then suddenly collapses like Tower 7 did in 6 seconds.
Then we can all stand arround and say, "Hey it happened before".
Of course they would have a full and decent investigation.
But why joke. We all know, we all read the Georgia Guidestones.
We know what GMO is all about. And they threw the first punch and the second and the third and the fourth.
But no revolution

Thank you so much for uploading this. Not many people even know about what they are really putting into their bodies. These huge corporations think they are helping, but they are really hurting us. People think save money on cheaper food (GMO and processed food) but then spend all their money on their medical bills when they get older.
