Magpul XTM Rail Panels are a great addition to any rail system. Each panels is comprised of two polymer pieces that clip together forming a rock solid grip. Here I have a set in Foliage Green mounted on my Troy Battle Rail. One pack contains 4 pairs of XTM pieces that will cover approx. 6inches of rail space.

  • How do you like the rail covers overall? I can't decide between the xtm's, the magpul ladder covers, or a combo of the two. What would you suggest?

  • @rainstick27

I liked the overall look of the XTMs better than the ladders. Function would probably be the same on either one I would imagine. I'm sure either would provide a solid foundation for your rifle. You honestly can't go wrong either way.

  • Great review! How is that gun? Do you like it?

  • @gobldegook100

Oh yeah. Really fun shooter. Can't go wrong with an AR.

  • Hey Good vid. I was going to go OD green but I went ahead and got a foliage green grip and mags but they sent me OD mags with the FG grip >:( but it did give me a chance to compare side by side as no store around me carried the FG, only DT and OD. I really do like the FG as the OD green in most lighting conditions really looks black at first glance.

What brand of quad rail is that? Do the mounting screws get in the way of mounting to the end section of the picatinny? Im looking at a cheap UTG.

  • @ThatDudeSirraj

The rail is made by Troy Industries. No issue with the mounting screws on my end.

  • I have a Troy battle rail as well, did you consider using Troy rail covers? I am trying to decide between those and the Magpul products.

  • @TaintedScarecrow

Gotcha, my only concern with the larger rail covers such as the XTM's was the increase in girth of the rail as I grip my rifle with the 'thumb break' style of grip, so I wrap my thumb and two fingers around as much of the rail as I can. The XTM's however, seem to be the most low profile covers of the non-low profile covers and that's what I like about them. Have you seen the newer version of the XTM's which should come out soon I believe?

  • @xXGMAN1997Xx

I live in PA, so I'm a ways away from CO. Maybe I'm lucky? Were they low on stock when you ordered?

  • Where do you live because i ordered the same thing and you said that it took about 2-3 days to get to you from Colorado. I live in Indiana and wanted to know how long it wass going to take for them to get here.
