Juan Díaz bats during a November 17, 2007 Liga Mexicana del Pacífico game between the Águilas de Mexicali and the Mayos de Navojoa. Díaz, a Cuban native, played four games for the Boston Red Sox during the 2002 season. The slugger was originally signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1996. In addition to the Dodgers and Red Sox, Diaz also played in the Baltimore and St. Louis organizations. Following his career in affiliated ball, Diaz played for the Joilet JackHammers of the Northern League and the Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo of the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol.
