i got a gigabeat t series, and i had an ipod nano (it was stolen by the way) and i rather like ipod, instead t series, for up to an hour i have tried to convert a movie i downloaded into wmv, and it doesn't work, that thing never happened with my ipod, i had to install the driver to use my gigabeat as USB drive, that never happened to my stolen ipod either, gegabeat has not support for mac ox i had to download XNJB, ipod has itunes, gigabeat has no games, no clock, note reader, alarm,

May be they are good players, mine too, but gigabeat has no many things that ipod has, and you know that, apple has much more things and much more support than gigabeat, I use Mac OSX the only way you can transfer songs to any gigabeat is downloading a program called XNJB, because toshiba has no support for mac, has not mp4 playback, clock, alarm etc... gigabeat is only a Mp3, wmv and MP4 ups, sorry, WMA player, sorry, but even if you like gigabeat too much is not a big deal versus iPod
