This is a little video of when I attended seaworld advacned career camp in 2008. It was AMAZING! I realllly want to go again! But I'm too old now, gutted D:
Anyways, here is what we did....
DAY 1:
played some "ice breakers", dissected a squid, watched shamu rocks, slept next to Manatees.
DAY 2:
Got up EARLY. Shovelled snow in penguins encounter, touched them, feed them, had a talk about them, went over to the killer whales, had a talk about them, then went and swam in one of their tanks!! :'D watched a few shows, and had private training sessions. Went to hotel.
DAY 3:
spent the day at Aquatica, got back and had free time :)
DAY 4:
watched a film, then had the deep shark dive!! Dived with over 40 sharks. private training shows and talks, behind the scenes to the wildlife rehabilitation centre, and looked at their like vet place and bird etc :)
DAY 5:
Dolphinnn Day! :)
Went to Discovery Cove, (already been there on a family holiday, this was my second time) was a bit annoyed that they spelt my name wrong on my tag though "Jayas" it's "Jayne" :) but anyways, swam with tropical fish, rays, swam with dolphins.. :) Then when we got back to seaworld we slept next to Dolphins for our last night :)
DAY 6:
Leaving day, was rather sad! Everyone left in the morning, but my flight wasn't til later, so I stayed with staff and we went to watch some shows got dinner, and took it back to the room to watch a film til I had to leave, was rather a good way to say goodbye, watch a few shows, then watch a film whilst eating some chips, then strawberries and chocolate, nomnom! :)
Btw, that's not EVERYTHING we did, we did soo much more I can't even begin to explain, this is just a quick over view! :)
OKAY, so IF you want to go but don't live in America, PLEASE, don't let you put that off! I live in Scotland! & that was my first ever time flying alone, I was REALLY nervous, but the staff is so kind and helpful I settled in after an hour or so :)
I'D RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GO, IT'S AMAZING AND A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE!! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to comments or questions as I'm barely ever on this account anymore. If you have a question that you would like to ask and have a fast repsone, please go to my other youtube account and leave me a message there: http://www.youtube.com/JaynesHorses
Hopefully this will cover any questions you may have:
*Yes they still run summer camps. From June-Aug.
*There is different camps to choose from, all have age limits though. The one I went to was from Grades 10-12. I'm from Scotland so I don't know what age range that is. But I went when I was 16 if that helps.
*On your first and last night you sleep over at seaworld next to one of the animals (PLEASE NOTE: this was in 2008 and they may not longer do this) Other times you stay in a hotel.
*All meals are provided within the price, so you will only need to take money if you wish to buy gifts etc. (Again, please note this was in 2008, so things may have changed)
*Yes I did swim in the killer whales medical tank, NOT with the killer whale, there was gates seperating us and we had to stay a certain distance away from them, though I'm unsure they will alllow you do this anymore, as it was orlando where the killer whale attacked & killed one of the trainers infront of an audience. So they most likely will no longer do this.
*I did not have ANY form of contact with the killer whale. I did not touch or feed it.
*You do get many talks about the welfare of the animal and what it takes to be a trainer and you can ask as much questions as you wish.
*You do also get to watch private training seasons they have with some of the animals.
Please visit their website for more information on the camps and for price etc.

I have given as much info as I can, if you wish for more info you will have to contact seaworld yourself. Many thanks for watching.
@dancewithmegurl12345 Hi, sorry for the late reply. The first and last night we spent the night over at seaworld, sleeping in the underwater view area next to the manatees on the first night, and then sleeping next to the dolphins on our last night. The other nights we were at a hotel. You can read the description for a quick overview of what I did there, or visit their website for more information :)

@Jessica76649 yeah, pretty sure they run them every summer June - Aug. There is an age limit, for the career camps it's grade 10-12, I'm from Scotland & we don't have grades, so I don't actually know what age limit those are, but I went when I was 16. Have a look at their website, they do other camps and stuff. San Antonio does a Marine Zoological career camp for college aged people, which tbh sounds much better than this camp, more hands on work with the animals I think.

@XxMileymadxX .... that you ALWAYS have to be with someone. & what time you go to bed etc. I was scared about the deep shark dive aswell, but theres really no need to worry, you're inside a cage, so they can't get to you :) but as I said, they change what they do every year so you might not even be diving with the sharks, we didn't get to see all the shows, so if this is your first time going, I'd make sure you have a day to go round with just your parents after the camp. All food etc is free :)

@XxMileymedxX well what they do changes every year, they allow you to sleep next to manatees, dolphins or beluga whales, but you can only sleep next to two & you don't get to choose. You get split into two groups, & whatever animal you sleep next to first will be your group name. You might not get to swim in the killer whales tank anymore cause of that killer whale (Tilikum) killed one of their trainers earlier this year, but I'm not entirely sure. They are quite strict in the terms of....

@dragonlova102
It depends on where you go I think, Orlando doesn't do it, but I think the others like San Antonio and San Diego have cabin things you stay in :)
