My first attempt at actually making a REAL video. So the basic idea behind this whole thing was to see if people would read the sign we posted up asking them to "Please don't walk on the grey tiles -Thank You" and then follow those directions. This video is basically the summary of what happened. (with a little bonus humor at the end).

  • 1:12 this is such a bias vid you cut it off right before the woman goes towards the hall...

  • @tomatotrix no

  • What does this show other than a general tendency for people to give the benefit of the doubt? Janitorial stuff like this pops up all the time, and it is only natural to respect what appears to be someone's work for the community. If you insert a footnote saying that stepping on the gray tiles won't actually hurt anything, then people are just gonna tromp all over them.

  • @AntiCitizenX even though this was a million years ago it seems, the point was to show that people listen to those that they believe have authority. Being that everyone shown in the video here is a student, a janitor of the school would be an authoritative figure in this setting. Even your explanation says the point of this video in a roundabout way.

  • this is at UGA

  • Actually it's at a community college in michigan that I went to lol. Sorry! I'm pretty sure UGA is way cooler than this place ha

  • what i learned from this video- social psychology experiments are a good way to fuck with people.

  • I never walk on certain tiles in the mall

  • Only do the worm across grey tiles.

    NEXT EXPERIMENT!

  • hahaha ud prob be the one steppin on the tiles after reading it and saying to yourself .... ughhhh i dont get it lol noooo im jk

  • is this to show obedience? lol nice project

  • You didn't leave enough space between the tiles and the wall. You need to ask yourself what this says about society. Don't we see this type of thing all the time around damp floors?

The floor should have had fresh paint on it so that way the first kid would have been covered in it.
