  • When can I buy the sheet music for this incredible piece by Paul Mealor? When will I be able to buy a hard-copy of a CD of his music on Amazon? When is his next commission? When will the Tallis Scholars record him for the first time? When will he receive his MBE? I am so, so excited to watch the career of this staggeringly promising young composer, and to enjoy his music for the rest of my life. I pray that God will continue to bless Paul Mealor, and to bless all of us through his great works.

  • @CavalierTim The harmonies - to be honest I think you could put any words to it and it would still send chills up the spine!

  • My Valentine choral nightcap... perfect peace and beauty...

  • Simply incredible I have never heard such wonderful harmonies.

  • I hope Peter Jackson discovers this before he releases The Hobbit.

  • No words, except one, Heaven!

  • Over and over again... enchanting harmonies. Bravo to the composer, bravi to the choirs :)

  • came back for more. and more. amd more. happily addicted to this piece of intense beauty. What I would have given to have bene at this performance - and I was in Edinburgh then. It reminds me of my favorite painting, 'Der Morgen', by Philip Otto Runge.

  • the chords are so rich... some moments i actually feel butterflies in my stomach

  • Now sleeps the crimson petal, now the white; Nor waves the cypress in the palace walk; The firefly wakens: waken thou with me. Now droops the milkwhite peacock like a ghost, And like a ghost she glimmers on to me. Now lies the Earth all Danaë to the stars, And all thy heart lies open unto me. Now folds the lily all her sweetness up, And slips into the bosom of the lake: So fold thyself, my dearest, thou, and slip Into my bosom and be lost in me. Now sleeps the crimson petal.

  • When I listen to this it's all I can do just to sit down and try to breathe.

  • This expresses what it's like to go to heaven - read about NDEs and you will see what I mean
