Wonderful, I was born in 62 but I remember this being shown when I was very young. Been keeping an eye out for it, and I'm now just filled with pure nostalgia.
Have a passion for 50's/60's scrapyard films/stills.
Recognise the petrol station which is still there, the Halfway House pub in the background and the drive through Seale past the church towards the end.
What a neat film! Never seen it before. I thought it was funny for him to crawl through the weeds to look at the Bullnose skeleton yet not bat an eyelid at the engineless MG TC(?). That wouldn't happen today! Looking in the service garage background and spotting a now-desireable vintage Vespa. And his own little 'restoration' garage, it looks like one of the original Bristol prefab garages, an attempt to keep employees of the Bristol Aircraft Company busy after WW2...
I'd been searching for this under it's title, 'The Home-Made Car' - so glad I've finally found it! I used to catch bits of it on TV, in the sixties, but I've bever seen the beginning. Thanks for posting this beautiful little film.

Just lovely! I really enjoyed this - thanks. What's the movie that starts at the end? I'd like to see it in it's entirety.
