@TheDorkofYork The idea that he used a flying kick in melee combat is still ridiculous, but i agree that china used the Dadao as an effective melee weapon against banzai charges.
@tooichan Actually you are mistaken, the primary light machine-gun used by the Chinese was the ZB vz 24, but they are very similar in appearance to the 26.
i am talking about the gun with the curved clip, which could only have been a British Bren or a Japanese type 99, which entered service at 38 and 39 respectively, one year after this battle.
a bent clip is usually the sign of a rimmed cartridge, and since the ZB vz. 24 fired the rimless 8mm mauser, that gun was not a ZB rifle.
@powereater Totally agree with the first two points but the Chinese had such an arms shortage that they actually armed people with lances and swords (well at least the commies did, don't know about the Kuomintang). It was pretty sad actually.
@powereater those peple that made the movies are retarded they dont base it on fact and reallity they base it on stereotypes and what they think is right dam fing retards these days
5:56 was probably the cheesiest thing i have ever seen, i am chinese and that was pretty embarassing

4:07 Nice to know that the Red army had the Bren gun before it even entered British service
4:12 And the Japanese counter those Bren guns with AK- 47s
5:56 when all else fails, use kung fu
come on, i know it's a propaganda-ish film but at least try.
