me and my dad were going up to Mt St Helens when we decided to turn back before we got stuck and didn't make it back home. This was the end of our trip from Des Moines, IA to Seattle, WA. Longest run of 1700 miles in 27 hours.

I'm looking for a bolt on lift kit so if anyone has any ideas please drop me a line.

  • I replaced the shocks & steering components and it drives like a new truck at 204,000 miles. I haven't had any problems with the AWD, so I haven't looking into the smartrack problems.

  • Oh....yeah, mine's a '97 Blazer 2wd. Still, impressive stuff from GM.

  • Champion Copper plus in mine at 205 thousand miles. Now at 210. Will replace my 100k mile AC Delco distributor cap with one of the same brand, just don't know when for it's running fine.

  • Smartrak doesn't appear to be working. Front drive should have kicked in within 2/10 of a second after the rear lost traction.

  • it doesnt look like your awd is working to well... my 01 bravada would never need chains in that snow.

  • @oDTheTruth very true milage is horrible! I haven't even driven my truck regularly in about 2 years. I run all over the place on my motorcycle now. 55 mpg and loving it!

  • @KemplandN well, lots of people have problems with other brands.

  • @blazinloud Not true. I'm running Autolite Double Platinum spark plugs in my '97 S-10 Blazer with 161,xxx miles on it and it runs the best it ever has.

  • these are AWD not 4x4

  • I have the same exact car 1998 even same color. 180,000 miles and still going STRONG !!
