@MrQuackism not at all or in the slightest. as far as im aware the is a best a very distant connection between the two arts. if you go compare between the two youll notice that aikido use much larger throws and circles so as to be less damaging and dangerous to both parties. six harmonies mantis is somewhat more direct and offensively oriented.

praying mantis is a style of kung fu. kung fu is based on animals and nature. Mantis usaully uses fast hand strikes and wrist lock with sweeps, from what i can see at least, i am not an expert.
