@RomeSweetHome1 Wow, that is a big question. You may want to start with my my reply to Pastor Javid in my video Re: Atheist I need your help! watch?v=pHrmr593jno
Basically I began to see the world from a naturalistic perspective and looked at the Church and the Bible from an outsider's point of view. It was like when Morpheus offers Neo the red pill, and he sees his world is the Matrix. Very exciting.

"Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." (John 21:24-25)
"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26)
"...maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you" (1 Cor. 11:2)
@JohnHenryAlex Not exactly. All divine revelation ceased at the close of the apostolic age. This includes Scripture and oral teachings of Jesus and the Apostles which the early Church bore witness to. The Church has been entrusted to pass down these truths intact. Sometimes disputes arise and the Church can clarify or deepen our understanding of these divine truths through dogmatic pronouncements. However, I think the Assumption of Mary was made up - a betrayal of Apostolic Tradition.

@JohnHenryAlex Perhaps these verses can help:
"Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." (John 21:24-25)
"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26)
"...maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you" (1 Cor. 11:2)

I love it how the most religious really don't know their own religion.
