I Have Been Votebotted.

Last night, my videos were 4.5 to 5 stars. This morning, they stand at 1.5 to 2 stars. Some of my less popular ones jumped from 11 ratings to over 70 in a matter of hours. the view count is staying stable, which means only one thing... votebots.
Seems some creationist doesn't like my point of view, and thinks unleashing his votebot on my videos (even the cute kitten ones!) is going to shut me up. Well, as Mindless Self Indulgence would say, I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO SHUT ME UP.

While I can respect the fact that you are upset about being the victim of a votebot, how do you know it was a "creationist votebot?" Why blame them? Did they take credit? Did they e-mail you and gloat?

well... this one is. but i posted it after the votebot attack. my other videos are recovering, but are still at 3 to 3.5.

i hope youtube does something about this soon. it's not like they can't see who's rating videos. why not remove false ratings done by votebots?

It happened to me yesterday. I dont think my videos are going to recover. I know everyone is trying to help, but it is like the votebot keeps going. They are now hoovering at 3.0. Mine normally were 4.5- 5.0. ALL my videos even things that didnt have anything to do with religion. They hit everything.

it's because people take things TOO PERSONALLY and think that you are attacking them rather than seeing your views for what they are, rationalizing them, choosing if they believe what you say to be true, somewhat true or not then leave it at that and let it roll of their shoulders. Instead NO, people have to get all butt hurt from the most petty of things.

I'd find it flattering myself. It's basically an admission on the part of the votebotter that they have no effective counter argument.

They've lost the debate and rather than gracefully admit they have no response they have a temper tantrum.

If those people were to treat real life like they treat the internet then anyone who effectively stumped them with a challenge to their beliefs in person would be punched in the mouth repeatedly.

I think it's hilarious that they'd votebote you. Sure, you voice your opinions more than most youtubers, but you've also got other videos and stuff which are nothing to do with them. Regardless. I'll be voting you back up!
