When I use to read this what stuck out to me was the difference between how hard it was for a Gentile to follow the LAW as opposed to a Jew who had been made to follow the LAW from birth. A Gentile would greatly struggle being made to follow Jewish Laws which is what Paul was attempting to get them to do. To my knowledge, Jesus'es ministry was never directed toward the Gentile masses but only HIS PEOPLE who was brought up knowing the LAW but were not following it because of the Priest.
