  • ok serious question, some ppl say counter steer and some say keep the skis straight which one should u do?

  • counter steer , no question. as long as the snow is deep enough and you want to maintain your height going across the hill you'll need to counter steer. you can also slightly adjust your skis and weight as you need to very easily.

  • Hey Is the Big Iron shootout going on this year. Cant find anything on it. Turbo Hill !!!

  • yep it is. next weekend. March 12-14 Sat being the main day!

  • I do a little of both to be honest. It is situation dependent. If I'm going snow counter steering seems to help get the turn started. Once I'm up to speed, I don't exaggerate the movement very much.

  • hey im a little underweight. is there anything I could do to my sled to help sidehill/carve? like skis?sway bar?

  • @IveGotTheNuts I agree totally but it is possible to hold a steady line with the skis straight.

  • @slednx Dude in deep powder you have to counter steer. other wise you will turn down hill. It is like riding a motorcycle you must counter sterr to turn when you want to .

  • you sound exactly like steve zahn

  • wrong foot forward, rules!!!

  • hey i know you switched to yamaha.. but did you have any luck with your 2008 xp 800? everybody said the clutches are bad engine are bad and what not is this stuff true? im looking at a 2008 xp 800 154 with 600 miles on it and i was wondering if i should take that over a 09 600 146 with 300 miles.. whats your opinion on those two options? does the xp hold up better than what people say?or does it just matter how you ride them or treat them? thanks you!
