Why did you get off the horse? That is by far the most dangerous thing you can do when a horse is misbehaving, especially in an open field. You're lucky your horse was kind enough not to trample you or kick your head off, and furthermore she wasnt being out of control, you never had any to begin with.

a saddlebred loves to run its in there blood, honestly the girl riding need to learn to to get off and yell at the horse when its backing

some people really shoudnt ride horses. good gosh is she going to ruin him. I am pretty sympethic when it comes to peoples riding but this is pure ijnorance...
-
I suppose it all depends on the person. =). I wear breeches and, and only wear jeans when riding western. Jeans rub me for some reason while riding.

I'm a horse trainer, and have been training for over ten years, and I have a few friends who train as well and we all wear jeans. Sometimes breeches too, or shorts and chaps. Footwear is more important, but there nothing wrong with riding in jeans, unless you're worried about damaging the saddle

Yelling never helps the situation....

my pole horses used to be realy hyper and backed up and woulddnt leave the gate so when she backe up i made her back up longer than she wante to and she doesnt do that anymore
-
I agree with you, although all the trainers I know wear jods and boots, and so do the riders- only the beginners/non showers wear jeans. ;)

This rider did the worst thing you can do on a horse - she got off when he started backing her into a fence. Then she brought him to another horse to mount and ran him back to another. Also YELLING into a horses ear and bending forward when a horse is backing against the leg and bit is insane.
