The rare solo version of the song originally released as a duet with Darryl Hall. I prefer the solo version and have used bits from the music video and lots of rare Dusty footage. I hope you enjoy it!

  • @karencarpenterfan1 would like to see the original music video, too!

  • better than the duet, definitely

  • This definitley has the edge on Cheap Trick's version. The vocal is top notch!! Best ever version!!!!

  • Love it....nice voice and when heard this song make me want to singing....

  • She has a nice voice, i like it...

Henry Lee Summer has a nice version of this too....

  • If only she sang more that kind of songs....top AOR!

  • When Dusty sings it's like...well I don't even know how to describe this...it just grabs your soul, gets to your heart and makes you feel so happy!

  • I watched this with lump in my throat. "Pure Dusty", Her duet with Darryl Hall is excellent but this solo version is just magic. RIP you beautiful songstress. Part of my childhood died with you honey. Thanks for the memories.

  • Beautiful version but i believe Cheap Trick's version is much better
