Don Williams is a soft-spoken country singer who sings love ballads that I could listen to all day. I hope you enjoy this video!

  • Sorry to hear that. I hope there's a job in your future that will allow you to live near your extended family and in the surroundings you had before your job made it necessary to move. If this song makes you cry, you might want to consider taking a pay cut (if necessary) to live where your heart longs to be.

  • Really great song. Sung with passion and beautiful lyrics. Thank you for sharing. Made my morning!

  • @dlee15081 Happy you liked it! I love Don Williams voice and the songs he chooses to sing! :D

  • I'm such a sap. This song moves me to tears every single time I hear it---and I hope it always does. Thank you Maureen... இڿڰۣ-ڰۣ————

  • I agree with u Maureen. This guy can get you hooked up all day to his music and you will enjoy every bit of it. He is in a special class as a Country Music Singer. I particularly enjoy this 'I am A Country Boy' stuff. Niiice, coooollll music!!!

  • I remember hearing this, oh I guess about 1964. I was in highschool then and I'd get up early to walk in the dark through a little canyon, where I could see the stars above me, and then up the hill to school If I timed it right the sun would just be comming up over the mountains and hit the fence posts of the horse pasture on my way up the hill. And just like the songs says, the prettiest girl in town never knew my name.

  • I cry everytime I hear this song. I am a country boy with very deep Southern roots, and I have lived up North for a long time because of my job. While I think the world of my friends and neighbors up here, I long for the woods, culture, values of the South and being near my extended family.

  • great vid and song
