A video made from footage taken at the Union Pacific Centennial Yard in Fort Worth, Texas... Centennial Yard is the second largest railroad yard in the world, next to the Union Pacific's Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska... Sorry the camera shook so much, it was windy and I didn't have a tripod.You'll see plenty of Union Pacific locomotives including UP SD70MACs, late geeps, SD40-2s, the new genset Green Goats, and many other locomotives. In the yard I also saw a modern CSX diesel, the new custom painted EMD SD70MAC in the Heritage M-K-T "The Katy" paint scheme, and also something rare for Texas: A Canadian National locomotive being hostled around!
I know this is Centennial Yard, but what's with the UP Building America Davidson Yard Sign? Makes me wonder...

when i was at Tower 55 several years ago taking photo's we were stopped by UP personnel and taken to the Centennial yard office, we were asked what we were doing on private property....what any decent railfan would be doing, admiring diesel locomotives and taking pictures, they gave us passes and we went back legally :)

Yeah, when I railfan at Tower 55 I always feel like I'm not supposed to be there...
I don't get that feeling in the parking lot of Centennial yard!

cool, i think they actually renamed Centennial Yard to Davidson Yard, don't ask me why, they renamed one of yards down here in houston from dayton yard to Robinson yard, as a safety award to one of the managers...=)

Yeah they did, I'm not sure why though.... I'll keep the name as "Centennial Sunday" though, because it sounds a lot better than "davidson Sunday"

if you want to railfan, get a permission slip from the tower at Centennial yard and go visit the criss-cross at Tower 55-Ft Worth....I've been there several times.....NSF goes North South and UP goes East West.....there's a freight train like every 10 minutes...it absolutely rocks
