  • Wow that is incredible ! It was like I made the video myself ! I have not seen a picture of the Edward Southworth Elementary school since it burned down. I could see my house from where the overhead was taken. Great Job! What year were your pictures taken ? I remember the football by the White church in the late sixties early seventies. Post more old pics of the area please , and thankyou !

  • Thanks so much for posting this video! I lived on Howe Street from '58 to '68 and went to the Southworth and Mather Schools. I remember the beautiful wooden floors in the Southworth, and the big tall windows that you had to open with a long pole. I just cried to hear that it was burned down. Made my First Communion at St. Peter's Church. The maple trees on Howe Street and The Field. Wish I could see everyone from the old neighborhood again.

  • Great video! I grew up on Hancock Street in the 1940'a and 1950'a and attended the Soutworth School and the Mather School. You included in the video a photograph of the Southworth School and it's the only picture I've ever seen of the building, now long, long gone. Thanks so very much for sharing.
