@The2020Watcher Yes my dear ... how uninsightful you failed to realize this ... perhaps music is beyond your grasp as well. Don't tread in deep waters with your shallow uninsightfulness lol.

@flyingdutchdog My dear… Unless you're trying to coin a new one right now, I should tell you that "uninsightful" is not a word. Even if I gave you a pass on that, "uninsightful" would likely mean "having no insight," and your comment would STILL be wrong; you would've had to say, "Typical LACK OF insight…"
This is all beyond your grasp. Like Ringo's drumming… Like music in general…

@98bigbutt Tsk tsk tsk… My dear, you just don't "get it," that's all. Ringo is THE drummer on the single greatest body of work in the history of recorded music. Period. I never said this-or-that drummer couldn't play flashier than Ringo. Wanna do that? Great, Mr. Chopsman. Let's see how many hit songs (SONGS THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY HEAR) you wind up playing on. (BTW... I *have* played on a few.)

@The2020Watcher: Typical insight from an uninsightful mind.

@The2020Watcher,What the fuck are you talking about? Ringo's drumming was totally mediocre. What about Keith Moon of the Who and John Bonham of Led Zeppelin?
-
@98bigbutt Ringo was the PERFECT drummer for the best band that ever was. That's all.

thanks for posting, both pts 1&2... it was and, is, a very interesting insight into one of the most significant compositions of the last 50 years in music.
-
I don't know why people say that Ringo is a good drummer because in reality he isn't a good drummer. He's really a mediocre one.

@HighlyIllogical77 Yes that was probably from the anti Beatles rallies that took place in the south because they felt the Beatles were a bad influence on the youth and anti christian......Apparently treating black people like shit however was very christian and good for the youth. What a bunch of red neck hypocrites

7:40 Nice shirt, George...
This, to me a lifelong Beatle freak, is the pinnacle of their creativity. I`ve listened to this song thousands of times and every time I hear it, its like the first time. The feeling that this song emits with the mellotron and John`s slow, eerie vocals...there was real magic in the studio on this one. What a track and what a time in my life....

I love hearing Ringo's drums more up close and less processed. However if you compare to the music of the day, with all their 'reduction,' overdubbing and layering techniques, they still sounded clearer than most other groups, by a lot, like about 10 years ahead of their time. this is what you kids nowadays should know.
