  • The number of people visiting my library has almost doubled in the last year. Books checked out doubles and triples each year, number of internet sessions quadruples. For ever dollar invested in a library there is at least 5.00 returned to the community in savings.

People use libraries more in a recession than any other time. Books, DVDs, Information, Free Computer access, job search services,

Google gives you information.. Librarian's turn Information into wisdom.

  • From a librarian: Thank you ever so much for this. Libraries are not a thing of the past, in fact they're getting used more and more even while they are trying to absorb cuts left and right.

  • Libraries exemplify the ideals of intellectual freedom and equal access to (real, true, factual, rich) information. Without them, we are all less. Libraries are changing and evolving, albeit slowly, let them do this and continue to enrich society.

  • "believe me, they'll come for 'em."

  • Mr. Cawley, I love you from the bottom of my library lovin' heart...

  • Wishful thinking from older generation. Sorry mate, I hate it too.
