Now this is great. The DJ hands me the recordings, and I'm like "Oh ok, awesome. My two songs are on here." I get home, and there is this third one, this one performance of the 1965 classic made famous by the '66 rendition by Frank Sinatra. This was only the third time I had ever tried this song, and I think I did pretty good even by modern standards. A lady that was there, who had heard me sing many other songs before, said that I sounded the most relaxed and the most 'into my voice' when I sing songs like this. Perhaps I should do more. However, I need to get rid of the forced vibrato. I have no idea why in the world I do that. I suppose because I'm deathly afraid of purely straightone in music like this. Anyways, as for Frank's music, and the Rat Pack era, I generally love the music, but it's not technically all that challenging. You really do have to loosen up quite a bit to do this music right, and unfortunately a few drinks is all it takes for me. :) I'll try this one again.
