  • MANYEK! Thank you again as always. You are the 'Prince' and royal archiver of music material.

This was a good piece that was flawed in some ways. To give short rift to the Controversy album is leave out a significant artistic statement in Prince's career as well the lack of comment on the Black Album. And the white-haired critic had some very narrow ideas mixed in with some insight.

Dez Dickerson's perspectives were excellent as well as David 'Z' Rivikin & others. Good documentary.

  • @Pirate7X "Royal archiver of music material" I like that one mate! I think I have to start calling myself that way :)

  • Hey! Prince, I got a cab waiting for you in the drive way.

  • That's strange, black artist see it as awkward to engage in music created by blacks i.e Rock n Roll which was band from radio in the 50's and white middle class America considered it overly sexual and most of all they saw it as Ni**er music. Lol it makes no sense.

  • B O R I N G

  • @SAMSON12321 Agreed...I just find it funny how Whites talk about Prince as compared to Black folks...Many of them didn't get on the bandwagon til "little red corvette" while Blacks were wearin' their hair like Prince and the whole 9 during the controversy album. He ruled the 80's and the Black community all across America.

  • @natefeez2 Hey, I brought up UNSUNG only because their interviewing skills and commentary on artists is SUPERIOR to this crap this group did. And yeah Prince has definitely lived up to his potential. The greatest downfall of most artists on UNSUNG is drugs or a falling apart of the group. I believe all artists live up to their potential, its just not long lasting like Prince

  • @SAMSON12321 I couldn't agree more with your regards to the interviewers in this doc. They suck. Controversy did very well and they act like it barely went gold. However, let's be real...Prince will NEVER be on UNSUNG. That's for acts that didn't live up to their potential. Prince surpassed his own potential. 1999 is still the greatest Prince album ever.

  • @sandralawson18 and it's nothing they can do about it, but except complained about

him. Prince hasn't done anything to him, why don't they just leave him alone? If you don't

like his music, then shut up and mind your own business.

  • @vmopsick I think what these people are trying to do, is that they are trying to do the same to

Prince, the same way they did with Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson, and Prince is still

alive and well, and still going strong, and some of these white folks are just jealous the fact,

that Prince Roger Nelson is in control with his own thing now,

  • Because, with all those entired instruments Prince has been playing, that young man could have easily fired everylast one of these people, that kelp talking about him and slandering him, behind his

back. So, Prince? If you can read my messages on this You Tube, just keep doing what you are doing, and tell those idiots to blink off, this is my show, you get your own show.

  • I've have been listening to a lot of Prince's song, and no offense to Michael Jackson and know he

is a wonderful performer, but if you wanna know who has should've been call real King of Pop, it

should've been Prince, because the he plays just about all of his instruments, then like I said, the

real King Of Pop should've been Prince.
