look, times have obviously changed. what one might consider poor might be middle class by "governmental" standards, but our choosing of our own standard defines our desire to better ourselves. if we remember those poor folks, then we'll think"oh, well living on welfare makes me SUPER rich!". no, that's not how it works....

Really great insight I have always felt like I am wealthy even though I'm what society would consider poor but I live in a small house and have a wonderful yard and I am right there with you I definitely think I am rich anyway considering all that I have next to what we have had and considering what others today have too thanks for reminding me of this.
