thats really starting to piss me off that people think motors and engines are the same thing cuz they're not, motors are electrical and engines run off fuel like gas. engine also stands for engineous device..

@bradleyhachey01 no, he kept the centrifugal clutch on it, and the secondary clutch. then through the jack shaft there is the sprocket for the chain in the chain case. im not sure if he used the sprocket to connect the chain directly to the drive axle or if he kept the sprocket for the track drive shaft. i think it may be too high gearing if he didnt use the drive shaft sprocket too. so he probably did.

how did you setup the drive line, did you convert it from belt drive to chain drive,if so how did you do it? as im in the process of using a mxz 600 motor for a go-kart im building. any help greatly appreciated

the sound is sooo sick
i took the jackshaft off the sled with the secondary/driven cluch still on it and mounted it to the kart using carrier bearings from Tractor Supply Co. Then I just got a sprocket (also from Tractor Supply) and mounted it to the chaincase side of the jackshaft. I also got a sprocket that runs on its own bearing and made a chain tensioner.

that is a fan cooled engine correct?

Liquid cooled. The cooler and fan are mounted on the cage in the back.

Nope, I only had it for about a month then I sold it on craigslist. I think it would probaly top out around 80mph or so.
