v2 IntelliStar

My local forecast machine was part of a beta test of the then-current graphical update on 10/9/07. This look lasted from 10/9/07 to 6/2/08, when the black lower line was updated to the current blue look.

This updated the non-narration of the first page's sky condition, and restored the narration during the Primetime daypart of music (it was removed May 2007 because of a transition to vocal tunes during the Local; the trial lasted one night and the narration was gone until this update).

Most all graphics were updated after a hard reboot of the STAR, however some smaller graphics were updated at a point earlier than the reboot (the current picture of a bus on the "School Day Forecast" page was the prime example).

Included is one of the better Comcast commercials.

I think they screwed it up (again). The color scheme is very cold and depressing. They need to add some warm colors to it to liven it up again. The sound effects are annoying. The only things I do like is the addition of a weather icon during the text forecast and I am glad they're rid of the black and white banners finally... other than that, the color scheme is too dull. Their on air graphics aren't dull, so why have their local forecasts looked this way for so many years?

LOL...I'm amazed that Carroll, Iowa upgraded to WeatherStar XL....thirty years behind everyone else lmao! Now watch....when they have Intellistar MMXIVIXIVIXIV forty years later Carroll will maybe THINK of getting the first Intellistar...I hate bumblefuck country bumpkin Iowa (everywhere else there's something happening...except in Creston/Greenfield/ oh who am I kidding...I'm mainly mad cuz they don't got AT&T Cell phone service lol!)

I'm with you on some of that, but how come you didn't like the title bars? The contrast between the appearance of the wording on them was awesome... and the new title bars are incredibly bland.

Font is bigger is seems in the beta test. Looks like that part came from v1 and v2.
