loving everybody is a shallow concept.
it negates one's capacity to be selective
hating all human contact is somewhat easier, since it saves the energy
that would have gone into having to be selective

i still prefer a somewhat secluded lifestyle
since i find the input of too many souls on my fragile sensitivity
to be draining.

i still cannot avoid the interruptions in my life
by annoying people with their silly demands on my time.
i could be alot meaner and slam the door in everyones face,
but this would generate hostility
and become an even more demanding drain
due to heated encounters and possibly violent reprisals
accompanied by the drain of harboring grudges, resentment, and other assorted hatreds.

so, in the final analysis, it is easier to be polite yet gently disengaging.
just smile, nod, engage in brief non involving comments, and move away slowly
so as not to implant any memory of the encounter. 15-30 seconds is the optimum duration for this. chances are the person in question will have totally forgotten about you by the time they encounter the next person or are perhaps a few blocks away.
