f5 is actually a good positional move, but very risky...you could try it even vs a strong opponent but you ahve to be very vigilant about tactics

a well played game, however I play the Philidor at the club and not very often do I or my constituents play that pawn to f5, most common is the gambit Bd7 so this is what i see the most 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 Bd7
