There is two sides to Frank Rizzo ... the first is a tough Mayor/Police commissioner that keep the streets crime down . The second is a man that intimadated the press ..violated innocent peoples civil rights .. didn't feel that he had to answer questions about corruption in his administration ...

The only people who called Rizzo a racist were the scum and their familes who weren't afforded the opportunity to steal or sell drugs under his clock. Rizzo protected the lives of honest hard working citizens no matter what race they were. So people wish they were tough. Some people will talk tough after a guy is dead but they forget we all die. Rizzo didn't wish he was tough, he was tough.

@skeetcva34 You're good at talking out of your ass. Nobody had Rizzo in their pocket, especially the mob, mafia, or whatever you want to call it. A matter of fact, Rizzo was the most feared person by what you call the Philly mob. He would raid their operations at will. He did nothing for them and he was untouchable. You my friend are clueless.
-
@skeetcva34 I grew up and my family ran gambling operations in South Philly. Nothing was run open under Rizzo's clock. I personally was involved in at least 5 raids of illegal gambling when Rizzo was mayor. Anyone who tries to say that things were run open because of Rizzo is talking out of their ass, like you.

Brother, I understand your reasoning. Perhaps better would be to eliminate corruption, drugs and gangs. Not to focus on gang ethnicity. If you analyse the situation, obviously these gangs prosper through weak government, justice and policing.

"Why would people write these sort of things? I don't understand!" What a load of horse shit! Gordon understood perfectly! He's using a cute little tactic common among journalists to get ratings. First you lure your subject into a false sense of security, then you hit them with questions they can't possibly answer in order to make them look guilty. Fact - in our society the burden of proof is SUPPOSED to be on the ACCUSER, NOT the accused! In Logic this is called the onus probandi fallacy

Open your fuckin' ears jackass!

The reason Philadelphia is in the current state it's in is because our politicians have lacked the gumption of a guy like Frank Rizzo for decades. I won't pretend to have been around during his tenure as police commissioner/mayor, but the stories my dad told me and the stuff I've read makes this guy okay by me. A man who truly looked out for the interest of HONEST citizens and not the sponging, worthless, violent, city destroying losers our current administration seems so hell-bent on coddling.
frank don't play
