Ellen DeGeneres deeply saddened over ban of gay marriage in California; Janet Jackson doesn't reschedule cancelled gigs; Beyonce Knowles volunteers to sing for Obama. (Nov. 6)
Okay look, the three states that had the issue of gay marriage on the ballot in this past election have all voted no on gay marriage. Even the liberal capitol of the world (California) voted no. Now can we please move on from this bullshit and focus on more important things like the economy , the Iraq War and lower gas prices?
If blacks in the South accepted Jim Crow Segregation Laws for what they were, where would America be in its Civil Rights movement today? Just because Jim Crow Laws were decided by politicians and people of the state did not by no means make them right...
This is the same thing -- Just because Prop 8 was approved doesn't make it right.
re:bobbiejeanendzone, ...and i suppose that in the not too distant American past we should have let the south decide, by vote, whether or not to allow black people the right to marry white people.
This logic is SO outdated. Equality is equality, and everyone should just get over it and let people live their lives. Gays being allowed to marry doesn't make straight catholic couples' marriages any less real or loving.
The voters of California have spoken they do not want GAY MARRIAGE. That is two times that they have voted against gay marriage. Respect the decision or move to a state that allows gay marriage.

Historic is right-
Whether someone voted for him or not-
They need to back him-
Because now-
His failure is the failure of our country.
