This video shows Need For Speed: Undercover running on a psp 2000, with video output displayed on a flatcreen monitor.

Lots of folk have been waiting for this release and some will be happy, some will be disapointed.

With the high density of PSP racing games out their, it's always going to be hard to reach the number one spot.

The latest need for speed is good but I'm not sure that it's the best.
I like the graphics but feel they are just a little short of detail.
The framerate is very good however and the sense of speed is very good when you unleash the Nitro!
The scenery does seem a little void sometimes and cries out for a liitle more detail streetside.
Undulation and road humps allow your cars to leap into the air, which is a nice touch.

Controls are very good and I feel they offer excellent input and responsivness to user input.

Sound is good, nice car sounds and effects. The music is fair and tinkles away in the background without annoying to much.

there are plenty of cars to unlock and modify to your liking.
The car modification and performance upgrades all cost you cash of course, so you need to win those races.
Winning the races isn't a piece of cake, the difficulty level seemed quite challenging and will keep most people busy for a while.

Pursuit from police cars seems weak at the beginning of the game, this is what dissapointed me most.
The police seem way to easy to evade and your left thinking, that was rather pathetic, why bother?

So it's a good high octane racer in my opinion, it offers good playability and control with fairly good graphics and sound.
Is it the best? probably not.
Test drive unlimited still gets my vote, although this game is more adrenalin fueled and more exciting.

  • who ever said that need for speed undercover is bad tell them to shut up!!

ITS AWSOME im making a video of need for speed under cove so come to my channel

  • I agree, its good, cant say awesome on PSP but it is a pretty cool racer.

Makes you wonder why IGN rate it 5.5, I think thats very unfair!

  • Played it a little more now.

The game is pretty good, although I've seen a few reviews saying it's the worst need for speed ever?

I'd still give it around 8.1\10

As you can see from video, you can mod your cars the normal way, spending your hard won cash.

It is quite difficult to progress unless you mod your cars, so be warned! lol

My only real moan, is the lack of police car chases, they seem really weak on first few stages but maybe they get more involved later on.
