The Puffin, built in 1906, is a 21 foot wooden launch, single cylinder steam powered boat. Very quiet in operation. Scrap wood from the boat building projects at the Center for Wooden Boats is used for fuel. 100% bio-fuel from a renewable resource.

  • lol lifejackets

  • love the music

  • Steam boats are quieter & smoother, much more fun than Diesel powered boats!

How old is the "Puffin"? The restored launch at "The Museum of the Broads" I filmed is 160.

  • Great boat for fishing, not water skiing though.

  • Soon we'll have no gasoline as fuel. In 50 years oil we'll have no oil more. But steam machine can yet be fired with wood and everything, what can burn!

    Also great job!

  • I got to steer that boat a few years back.

  • nice music
