The Wheel of Time Prologue 2 of 2

This is an excerpt from "The Wheel of Time" by the late Robert Jordan (The Wheel of time & all associated terms and concepts are the copyright of Robert Jordan. Books published by Tor Books. Audiobooks by Audio Renaissance)
This is the prologue of book one: "The Eye of the World", entitled "Dragonmount". The audio is from the Audio Renaissance audiobook and is read by Michael Kramer.
The images are from Dragonmount.com; Deviantart.com; The Wheel of Time comics published by Dynamite Entertainment; and google images. They all belong to their respective owners. "The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age,called the Age of Legend by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, Lews Therin Telamon- The Dragon, a great hero of his time, lead the assault against the Dark one- the bane of existence and was victorious. "Afterward, Lews Therin went mad and destroyed all whom he loved and then himself.
Several centuries later, the Dragon was reborn as was prophesied, and now he, along with his close friends and allies, diligently prepare for the apocalyptic event known in the Old Tongue as 'Tarmon Gai'don' (The Last Battle), knowing that what was, what will be and what is may yet fall into the shadow."

Please enjoy and whether you buy the books, audio books, or comics, you'll thank yourself repeatedly.

  • God I wish I knew what I'd done with this book. Some of the best writing I've ever come across. I'd love to hear some more of these if you can put them up. :) Thanks for this prologue!

  • this prologue alone hooked me, nearly 20 years ago. and looking back at it after reading all of the books currently published its even more powerful to me. what a hell of a way to start a serise, this whole book serise started with the most important thing in the whole serise.
