Just because someone disliked a video doesn't mean it was by a redditor, and it definitely doesn't mean it was due to a particular cause or organization. It could be for any reason by anyone.

Don't just assign roles to people and give yourself reasons to hate them.

True, things aren't always black and white in the real world. But a lot of these soldiers DO support the war and have actively participated in the atrocities commited. I suppose it really depends on the particular soldier doesn't it? Some do deserve our respect and support and some most certainly do not.

Doing their job. Protecting our liberties in ways they (and you and I) may or may not agree with.

Well now you're just being silly. Of course a lot of people join the army for other reasons, like the one's you've listed. I just don't agree with what the soldiers are doing now in Afghanistan/Iraq. I didn't intend for this to become a debate, i just wanted to say that the gifts could be put to better use, that's all. :)

So when your city is ravaged by fire/flood/tornado/earthquake/­hurricane you will be conducting sit-down interviews to make sure the soldier rushing to your aid did not enlist to fight in a war. (Hint: He/She did not.)

Yes and by ''serving their country'', that means fighting wars abroad. Anyone who's joined the army in the past 11 years has done so for this reason, knowing full well that they would most likely have to fight in the war. Of course there are a whole multitude of reasons that people join the army, like the one's that you listed, but all of them knew that they would have to fight in this war.

I don't know how to break this to you, but people don't enlist in the armed forces hoping "Oh boy I hope I get to fight in a war!" They do so because they hope to serve their country in any way possible aside from that. National disasters, other countries invading OUR SOIL, protecting the President, etc. I work in a hospital because I want to make a difference but that doesn't mean I can choose to ignore the guy who got stabbed when his rape victim fought back, much as I'd like to.
