Guinea Pig Care - How To Bond With Your Guinea Pig

This video will be about
bonding with your guinea pig.
First of all there's the Towel Trick
You simply just grab a towel
and wrap it around your guinea pig.
Let the guinea pigs head stick out.
Now you talk calmly to the guinea pig
and cuddle your guinea pigs back or neck
and stuff like that.
Do this 1-2 hours each day for.. ehh.. 2 or 3 weeks
and it will tame and bond the guinea pig to the towel
and you.
You can also just be near the cage.
Reading a book, drawing, talking, doing your homework (i said making!), or just sitting there can make your guinea pig get used to you.
You can also sit in the playpen with your guinea pig
during floortime and maybe tell your secrets to him or her. Actually it is a good idea to talk with your guinea pig if.. you know.. you want to.. to talk too somebody or you have this really big secret that you just want to tell someone. The guinea pig wont tell anyone :)
Another good way to bond with your guinea pig
is that you give him or her treats everyday.
Just dont give too much of it.
As i said in another video, your guinea pig
will connect you with something good if you
give him or her treats.
And actually there is another towel trick too.
You take a clean towel and you hang it up outside,
so the smell of soap goes away. it wont go totally away
bit just so the smell is not so strong anymore. When you've done that, you take the towel, and rub your body with it, so the smell of you comes on the towel.
Also if there's a special perfume/deo you use all the time, you can spray a little bit on it. But not too much.
That towel, you put into your guinea pig's cage so he
or her, can get used to your smell.

So it is okay to pick it up and hold it to get it used to you? Others had said don't pick it up for a couple of weeks and don't lift the igloo and scare it. But then how do you get it out to hold it or clean under the igloo? I am confused.
