Heh, that's Brooke Alexander in the VanHuesen commercial. She's the blonde talking about "Peter's" shirt. You may recognize her now as spokeswoman in the oil and Natural gas commercials but she used to host a cnn news show (later moved to fox new) and she did some minor tv acting stuff prior to that (soap operas, etc.)

When watching the commercial for Action Park, I am continually reminded of the irony in the spokesperson for Mountain Creek - when Mountain Creek opened - trying to dampen the memories of Action Park claiming it was an all new park, none of the memories remain, etc etc, while still keeping like 3/4 of all the original Action Park Waterworld/Roaring Springs rides.

IBM - the company that:
Sold tabulating machines to the Nazis
Sold computers to South Africa's apartheid regieme
Kicked Lynn Conway (a true genius and computer innovator) out for being transgendered.

For me the summer of 1986 had one small rough period, but for the most part it was a great sumer for me too! I was 9 then and for the previous spring concert at school we did a tribuetefor the Statue Of Liberty.

@manyvideoinerests I remember Liberty Weekend very well! Watching the celebration on my new TV outdoors, fireworks, then swimming later in the evening. In fact, the whole Summer of 1986 is still one of my favorite periods in my life!

Interesting! Anyone remember what you were doing that weekend that all these aired? The Kmart commercials of today are sure different from what they were in 1986!
